About us
What is Bonsai TOKYO?
This is a contemporary art piece that has been painstakingly created by artisans based on traditional Japanese bonsai.
By adding artistic expression to the inherent beauty of plants, we create new interior designs that allow you to enjoy plants and art in an even more beautiful way.
Each piece incorporates concepts such as the spirit of Zen and eternity, and by designing them visually and ideologically, they express the transience of life and the beauty that is born over the years.
[Time Primrose] Japanese Bonsai Art
"Tokimigusa" is a word that refers to a pine tree.
It comes from the phrase "watching time" and symbolizes longevity and immortality, expressing its permanence.
The Air Force 1s featured in the film became popular in Manhattan and became known in New York as "Uptowns."
Along with the culture of "wear them out and replace them," it has become a standard uniform of East Coast hip hop.
We focused on the background of this fleeting consumption of "wearing out clothes and buying new ones."
By combining the cultural background of the pine tree's symbolism of longevity with the Air Force 1's transience, the design expresses the contradictions humans face through bonsai.
It reflects the image of a human being who seeks eternity in life, yet at the same time cherishes fleeting beauty and fleeting emotions.
